Our U16 girls basketball team play in the All Ireland "A" Schools Cup Final on Tues' 20th at 12pm. The match is being streamed live and can be viewed from this link. We wish them every success..

A senior cycle presentation for parents of 3rd students will take place on Wed' 15/1/15 at 7.30 in the school. Application forms for TY and LCA will be distributed on the night.

Well done to the U-16 Girls Basketball who won their All Ireland Semi Final today. They defeated Ard Scoil, Rathangan 50 points to 48.

Our Christmas Carol service has become one of the highlights of the school calendar. On Thursday the entire school community made the short journey down to our local church for a service of readings and carols. Unfortunately there is not an opportunity for parents to attend as the church is packed to overflowing. We have however added some clips from the service which can be viewed in our news and views section.

3rd year students will have a presentation on Subject Option for senior cycle as part of our subject information week. Students will have an opportunity to meet teachers from all option groups during this period.

Enrolment 2015: Enrolment for new students beginning 1st year in 2015 is planned for Monday 1st, Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd December. Due to TUI/ASTI industrial action it is not possible to go ahead with enrolment on Tuesday 2nd December. Colaiste Chiarain is extending the enrolment period which is now Monday 1st, Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th December.

TUI/ASTI Teachers Strike: Due to strike action by the 2 teachers Unions, Colaiste Chiarain will be closed on Tuesday 2nd December. The Board of Management is therefore requesting parents not to send their daughters/sons to school on Tuesday 2nd December. School will re-open at 08.40 on Wednesday 3rd December.
